Adventurous activity training 2026
Training opportunities for hillwalking; mountains; wild camping; climbing; abseiling; kayaking; rafting; pulling; sculling; archery; shooting; first aid for adventurous activities; permit development; etc; are provided by the County Activities Team. More . . .
County Dragon Boat Regatta 2026
This year’s County Dragon Boat Regatta will be held at Wokingham Waterside Centre on Sunday 5 July 2026. Apart from being a great fun event, it enables Cubs & Scouts to obtain an activity badge without doing anything else and will count towards the Berkshire Waterways Challenge Award.
We are always over subscribed and will need an army of helpers to make it a success so if you would like to reserve a priority place for a team from your Group or would just like to join the organising team or are free either on that Sunday or the day before to help set up, please let us know by completing our online form.

ELEVATE26
ELEVATE26 is an activity and leadership camp for APLs/PLs/SPLs (and aspiring patrol leaders) and will take place at Scout Adventures Youlbury (near Oxford) during 5–7 June 2026. This will be an opportunity to develop leadership skills, complete parts of the Gold Chief Scouts Award and activity badges, as well as taking part in fun activities. More . . .
Malawi 2026
Following the County’s very successful visit to Malawi in 2024, a smaller return visit will take place in June 2026 for 18 years plus members. This expedition is purposefully different in scale and scope to the full visit in 2024. The next full Project Africa expedition is likely to be in the summer of 2028. More . . .

WINGS Shield Challenge 2026
In the run up to WINGS 2026, Scouts and Guides from all sections are invited to take on the WINGS Shield Challenge and achieve their badge (badges are free within Berkshire but will be 75p each beyond Berkshire). More . . .
Wild Adventure Days 2027

26th WSJ (Poland) 2027
Berkshire Scouts will be sending a Unit of 36 Scouts and 4 leaders to the 26th WSJ in Poland. The selection process for the 36 Scouts recently took place at Earleywood Scout Campsite. More . . .
