This management role, Assistant District Commissioner, is essentially a leadership role with your main focus will be on one sole area, Beavers. You will help the volunteers leading the Beaver sections to run a good programme ensuring the development, and adventures of our young people.
You will be supportive to our leaders, as their go to for all things beavers.
You will also ensure the district develops in accordance with the rules and policies of the Scout Association so good quality Scouting is provided for young people in the Beaver Sections.
You must complete the relevant training (a wood badge) within three years of taking up the role, understand and accept the Scout Association’s policies.
We ask that you maintain a satisfactory CRB Clearance, and maintain Safe Guarding, Safety and First Aid training but most importantly be enthusiastic about scouting.
You would be joining an organisation that has over 600,000+ young people registered and 150,000+ adult leaders! Spread across the UK, scouting can offer 200 activities, on land and water. We go from 6-25 Years old. We also believe in letting the adults have as just as much fun and we will endeavour to include you in as many adventures and activities as we can.
