Adventurers wanted to lead Woolhampton Group in Taceham Hundred (1st Woolhampton)'1st Woolhampton Scout Group are looking for enthusiatic adults to help support an existing and growing Group.
The Group is looking for volunteers to help develop their young people through fun, challenge and adventure. The positions are voluntary and primarily involve helping to run the exciting activities.
You could help with these activities! From abseiling to zorbing - we do it all!
We can offer you a free DBS check, free training, masses of career skills, and a great chance to improve your CV. There's also plenty of support if you're wanting to help but aren't completely confident of your skills. The most important part is that it's fun and incredibly rewarding.
Prior scouting experience is not necessary, only energy and enthusiasm, as you will receive training and the support of parents, the Group Executive and the leadership team for the other sections. Scouting is a vibrant movement, a real fellowship and a worldwide family which would welcome you joining today.
If you know people who would enjoy volunteering alongside you it might also be possible to operate roles on a job share basis so the commitment could be for say, every other week or once a month during term time.
Beavers and Cubs meet on a Wednesday evening during term-time
Beavers: 5pm - 6.15pm
Cubs: 6.30pm - 8pm
Scouts meet on a Tuesday evening during term-time
Scouts: 7.30pm - 9pm
There are no specific skills/qualifications required other than an enthusiasm to volunteer with young people.
