We are seeking a new County Treasurer. This important voluntary role involves the maintenance of the accounting records, with the support of a part time paid Administrator.
The County Treasurer is a Trustee of the charity and supports the work of the Scout County Executive Committee (CEC) and provides advice and support to the County Team.
The role involves the maintenance of the financial records and the production of bi monthly reports of the financial results of the CEC.
Xero software is used to hold the records and full training will be given to a candidate if they are not familiar with this software.
At the end of the financial year, 31 March, the County Treasurer prepares the annual accounts in conjunction with the Independent Examiners for presentation at the annual general meeting in early July.
The County Treasurer also provides advisory support for the Treasurers of the 11 Scout Districts which are all self-accounting.
