Treasurer – Reading Central Scouts

As District Treasurer you’ll be responsible for ensuring proper procedures are in place by allowing the districts funds to be to be accounted for in a timely, accurate, transparent way. Ensuring compliance with both charity commission rules, the Scout Association rules and normal accounting principles Volunteering with scouts is not only great for you CV, but also incredible rewarding. 

We are looking for someone who can help keep the districts accounts on track and organised. 
For this role you will need financial experience and/or qualifications, as you’ll be responsible for things such as accounting of all district funds, ensuring group subscriptions are paid, produce financial report and more. 

This is an ideal role for someone starting a career in accountancy/finance. The role will not only allow you to gain valuable experience within finance but also many other fields. 

You will attend district committee meetings, whilst working on the accounts at a time that suits you. Allowing you to carry on with work, college and social life all the while helping make a difference to the scouting in Reading.
