Photo of the Year 2004

The Photo of the Year 2004 is the photo submitted by Mike Watts of 1st Sonning Scouts and shown in the week commencing 23 August 2004.  The judges decided this photo best captured the fun, friendship and adventure of Berkshire Scouting of all the photos submitted in 2004. It was a  difficult process selecting one from so many high quality photos. Congratulations to Mike, a framed version and a citation will be presented to Mike and the Group. The judges also highly commended the photos published on 2 August 2004 from Peter Swynford and on 24 October from Oliver Hunter. Thanks to everyone who submitted photos.

Old Lady Drinking Tea

As part of SSAFA Forces Help Week (4-10 October),  you are invited to take part in the Big Brew Up, The Big Breakfast or the Big Dine In. These involve organising a tea party, breakfast or dinner and using it as an excuse to have some fun, practice your cooking and hosting skills and raise money for a great cause. Why not organise a tea party or a meal  and make it a fund raising activity. Ask parents to join you for a few minutes before the end of your section meeting and serve them a cup of tea for a donation to SSAFA Forces Help. more
