The Scout Association have produced a metal pin badge version of the Centenary Badge. These are now available for just £1 from your local Scout Shop or the Information Centre. Put on your blouse, shirt or jacket - it is a great way to let people know about Scouting and a very interesting conversation starter.
This week we are off to the Hillside Scout Group web site. The group is located in the Vale of Mowbray, North Yorkshire, England (Herriot Country). Recently they held a sponsored 90 minutes silence as part of their 90 Years of Cub Scouts Celebrations - sounds like a great idea. more
As we head for lighter evenings and weekly meetings move into the swimming pool, onto the towpath or just generally out and about, a reminder that any activity that involves spend time away from your normal meeting place must be notified to your District Commissioner. This does not not include activities which form part of a nights away event which itself needs notification. You can carry out the complete Activity Notification process on-line at www.berkshirescouts.org.uk/an. Thanks to everyone who has provided comments and suggestions for this All Districts All Groups Activity Notification system and the updated facility is now available. Select your District from the pull down list and follow the on-line instructions.
Please note the change of the date for the Taceham Hundred District Annual General Meeting to 8 June.
