The 102nd Reading Muslim Scout Group was registered with the Scout Association on 20 March 2006. The Group will be holding an Open Day on 22 April 2006 for interested young people and their parents. In the first instance, the Group will be opening a Beaver Scout Colony (Boys and girls aged 6 to 8) and two Cub Scout Packs (for boys and girls aged 8 to 10.5). Congratulations and thanks to all the adult volunteers who have made this happen. A great interactive game is now available to download from the ResourceBase which will test your knowledge of the locations of European Countries. The Third Scouts Golf Gala will be held on Friday 2nd June 2006 at Wokefield Park Near M4 Reading. The Day Includes Breakfast, a 18 hole Stableford Competition, a three course lunch, prizes, raffle and an auction plus win a car for a hole in one. The day is for teams of four - all the details here.

The Records Department at The Scout Association advises all members to continue using, until further instructions, the current 'white' CRB application form. The new prototype 'pink' application form is currently undergoing trial and evaluation by the CRB and will not be in use until much later this year.
The National Beaver Scout Support Team, in conjunction with the Activities Team, is undertaking a review of the rules and guidance surrounding Beaver Scout Sleepovers - with a focus on ensuring that Sleepovers are as accessible as possible. Your views are essential, whether you do or do not currently run Beaver Scout Sleepovers.
