The Young Leader Programme is also growing fast with 96  Explorer Scouts now taking on the challenge as a Young Leader.

Congratulations to Kennet District who report the largest increase - a whopping 79% increase in Beaver Scout numbers - great news.

Congratulations and thanks to every Adult Volunteer who has help support and provide the fabulous adventure of Scouting to 6031 young people (6-18 years old) across Berkshire.

That's all for this week

The South African Scout Association have a project called the Phakamani project (meaning "Rise"). This project makes it possible for any boy or girl, anywhere in the country, to become  a Scout.  Wow - what an ambition! The Phakamani project is designed so that community groups can adopt the Scout programme to help meet their own youth needs and set up their own Scout Troop or Cub Pack. Could we do this?
