Royal Berkshire are pleased to announce their involvement with the Millets Live Life Loud Festival, a 2 day event to be held in Windsor Great Park in July 2006 which is in aid of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’s 50th Anniversary. The Festival is expected to attract over 20,000 Award Participants per day including many Scouts and Guides. The Festival Team sought the advice and support of the two organisations after learning about the success of the series of WINGS (Windsor International Guide and Scout) camps held since 1993 and the experience and expertise available through the WINGS Team. Read more about this opportunity and to sign up to help here.

County Cooking Competition

The Scout Section County Cooking Competition was held on the 25th February 2006 at the Emmbrook School in Wokingham. The choice of dishes, the standard of cooking and presentation was extremely high which gave the judging team which was made up from the Berkshire Jamboree Leaders a very difficult decision to make. In the end 3rd Upton (Slough District) were the overall winners by just one point from Pinkneys Green (Maidenhead District) with Central Windsor Troop (Windsor & Eton District) and 1st Emmbrook (Wokingham District) tied in 3rd place. more
