Spain 2006 is  a two week adventurous activities expedition for Explorer Scouts and Scout Network and their Adult Leaders to the spectacular mountainous area in  Sort, Northern Spain at the end of August in 2006.  More details will be available soon so make sure you are registered for all the information. Discover the Jamboree

Discover all about the World Jamboree at one  of the Roadshows organised by the Jamboree Unit.

Scouts and Explorer Scouts born on or between 28 July 1989 and 27 July 1993 are invited to attend one of the Jamboree Unit Roadshows to find out what's involved in joining the 2007 World Scout Jamboree contingent.  Adult Leaders and Parents are also invited.

The key dates for the Roadshows are:

Mon 30 Jan - West Berkshire area (Taceham Hundred and Kennet) more

Thu 2 Feb - Mid Berkshire area (Wokingham and Loddon) more

Fri 3 Feb - East Berkshire area (Windsor & Eton and Slough) more

Wed 8 Feb - Reading area (Pang Valley, Reading Central and East Reading) more

Mon 20 Feb - Southern Berkshire area (South Berkshire and SouthEast Berkshire) more

Tue 21 Feb - Northern Berkshire area (Maidenhead) more

If you cannot attend your local meeting you are more than welcome to visit any of the other meetings. Opportunity to train as a Water Sports Instructor

Are you under 18 with an interest in water sports like Canoeing and Sailing?  Would you like to become an Instructor in water sports? But have little or no experience?  Longridge are offering a six month full time course for Trainee Instructors.  You do not need any formal qualifications to do this course but you do need to be enthusiastic about outdoor education, water confident and relate well to other people, particularly young people.  Accommodation and food is provided plus a weekly allowance based on the minimum wage.  If you are interested, contact Martin Plain, Senior Instructor on 01628 483252 or e-mail martin@longridge.org.uk or write: Longridge, Quarry Wood Road, Marlow, Bucks SL7 1RE.
