Jamboree on the Air

The 48th Jamboree on the Air takes place over the weekend 15-16 October 2005.  JOTA is an annual event in which about 500,000 Scouts all over the world make contact with each other by means of amateur radio. It is a real Jamboree during which Scouting experiences are exchanged and ideas are shared, thus contributing to the world nature of Scouting. JOTA will be taking part throughout the world so this is a great opportunity for an international experience. more

Jamboree on the Internet

The Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) takes place over the weekend 15-16 October 2005.  If you can organise internet access you can take part. JOTI is an annual event when Scouts make contact with each other by means of the Internet and this means all over the world. It is a great Jamboree experience during which you can exchange ideas and experiences are shared. JOTI is a world-wide event mainly for Scouting groups in all youth programme sections, although members may participate individually.

JOTI is officially open 48 hours, from Saturday 00.00h until Sunday 24.00h local time. JOTI is held at the same time as the Jamboree on the Air - see above.  All you need is internet access  - you can make contact via web browser, email or a chat room (IRC) - all is freely available. It is a great international experience. more
