Eurojam

Eurojam has finished.  It was a fantastic international event for over 10,000 from 68 countries based in Hylands Park in Essex. Congratulations to all the volunteers from Berkshire who helped make it such a special event. Special thanks and congratulations to Hamish Stout and Mick Stocks who had key roles in IT and Logisitics for the whole event.

WINGS2009

The first meeting of the Planning Team will be held on 1 November 2005 at the Wokingham Waterside Centre. If you are up for the challenge of helping plan some of the framework for the next WINGS, register now on the WINGS2009 web site www.wings2009.org.uk/staff

Reading Scout Shop

The Reading Scout Shop will have extended opening hours from 3 September 2005 - click here for details. The Shop is also looking to find owners for some group scarves they have in stock - check out the details here.

Calling all Walking Group Leaders

In the next issue of Summit, the British Mountaineering Club (BMC) magazine, there will be short sections written by people who hold Leadership Awards.  To help with this the BMC are currently looking for a volunteer leader who holds the WGL (Walking Group Leader) to write about their view of it - why they did it, how they use it, was it beneficial etc more

Community Awards for Vodafone Employees

A new National Commissioner for Scout Fellowship

Glenn Walker has been appointed National Commissioner for Scout Fellowship replacing Andrew Jermey in that role. Glenn is keen to hear about successes and innovations from local Fellowships who are supporting leaders in the delivery of balanced and exciting programmes to the youth sections. County Fellowship Rededication Service 2005

Pang Valley Scout Fellowship are pleased to be hosting the Service this year in this their 21st Anniversary year.  The Service will take place on Sunday 16th October 2005 at St. Mary the Virgin Church, Burghfield Common, starting at 2.30pm.  more (note the map missing from earlier versions of the page is now available)

Formal Ball for Scout Network

Earlsdon Network, aka the Pub Scouts, based in Coventry are holding a formal ball on Saturday 15th October and would love to see people from as many groups as possible at the event.
