South Berkshire Scouts Gala Golf Day
South Berks are holding their Annual Corporate Golf Gala on June 3rd at Wokefield Park GC. The Event
For those who enjoy playing golf on a great course, eating good food, having fun and contributing to a nationally recognised, community based good cause, we’ve got just the answer!
On the Friday 3rd June 2005, the First Annual Charity Golf Gala organised by South Berkshire District Scouts will take place at Wokefield Park Golf Club near Reading.
In addition to the main 4 ball 18 hole stableford competition, golfers can also compete in contests such as putting, nearest to the pin, and men's and womens' longest drive. You can even win a car for a hole in one!
The £250.00 per four person team golf package also includes breakfast and a 3 course lunch.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. with a two-tee start at 9am. Lunch will start at 3.00pm followed by the prize ceremony.
There will be many opportunities to promote your organisation via a variety of sponsorship packages and participation in the charity auction and raffle.

Situated in the heart of the Berkshire countryside, Wokefield Park is easily accessible from both the M4 and M3. Wokefield's challenging golf course is set in 250 acres of mature parkland with lakes and cleverly undulating greens. Practice facilities include a 14 bay driving range and chipping and bunker areas. Yellow tees 6273 yards, par 72, sss 70Championshire tees 6961 yards, par 72, sss 73 · The 18 hole Championship parkland golf course provides impressive driving positions from the elevated tees and challenging shots over lakes. · Measuring just under 7000 yards from the back tees, the golf course was constructed in 1997 on mature parkland. · With its winding streams, nine lakes and large bunkers as hazards, the water comes into play on seven holes with probably the most exciting being Hole 12 - a par 3 of 194 yards with a 142 yard carry from the men's back tee.
There is a superb clubhouse and we have the exclusive use of the magnificent dining room for our lunch and prize giving ceremony.
