The Mount Challenge - First Aid

As with any activity that takes you away from home or your meeting place you should ensure you are equipped with a personal first aid kit to help deal with those cuts or other minor incidents. It is always a good idea to add a few extra items to your first aid kit to help with other events. The list below is not meant to be a complete list but to give an idea of the sorts of things you should have in your first aid kit.

- Make sure you and your partner have your own personal first aid kits
- Is it in a good container, bits rattling around inside your kit bag will difficult to find and will get messed up.
- Have you checked the contents recently?
- Are the dressing and like still sterile?
- Why not make a list of the contents so you can check it each time you take out with you.
- If you have specific medical conditions why not put them on a card in a first aid kit as well as carrying another card with you.

- Plasters
- Cotton wool or equivalent
- Sterile wipes
- Tweezers
- Small pair scissors
- Triangular bandage
- Crepe bandage
- Matches
- Coins
- Info. card (name, address, medical conditions)
- Suitable waterproof container
