The Plan for the County details the broad aspirations of this programme which relate to every Adult Volunteer involved with Scouting in Berkshire.
Berkshire Scouts in partnership with Berkshire Scout Enterprises Ltd employs a full-time Local Development Officer to work with volunteers on this programme.
The County Development Forum is responsible for taking forward the Development Programme. more

All involved with Berkshire Scouting are encouraged to identify Local Development Projects and send in their ideas to the County Development Forum who are responsible for the selection of the projects to be taken forward. more

Forum - Partnerships with Scouting Serving the Community
On Saturday 19 April 2008 we are holding a Forum on ‘Partnerships with Scouting Serving the Community’. It provides an opportunity to explore together how we can build partnerships to help serve all young people within our communities. Annual County Development Workshop
Once a year there is a open meeting of those in local development projects across Berkshire which provides an opportunity to highlight the successes and share good practice. In 2008 this workshop will be held on Saturday 14 June 2008 - book this date now.
Promotional Kit
Berkshire Scouts in partnership with Studio Lift has designed and developed a number of items designed to support the promotion of Scouting at a wide-variety of events and locations. These are available for use by anyone involved with Scouting in Berkshire at no charge. You will need to collect and return the items. Please select freely from the list to develop the package most suited to your event.
The items are stored in the Reading area and you will be sent instructions as to how to collect and return the items after you have booked the kit you require. more
