Berkshire Scouts Development Projects
Berkshire
County Scout Council and Berkshire Scout Enterprises Ltd ( BSEL)
have signed a partnership agreement to work together to develop
Scouting across Berkshire. BSEL are employing a full-time Local
Development Officer to work on developing Scouting across Berkshire.

The Berkshire Scouts Development Project focuses on three objectives: (i) to develop further the provision of accessible Scouting to all areas of Berkshire; (ii) to continue to build a youth and adult membership which is more representative of the diversity across Berkshire and (iii) to develop effective outreach programmes in areas of greatest need.
All involved with Berkshire Scouting are encouraged to identify Local Development Projects and send in their ideas to the County Development Forum who are responsible for the selection of the projects to be taken forward.

Local Development Projects
The County Development Forum welcomes ideas and suggestions for Local Development Project. The Forum will be very pleased to work with a proposer to flesh out a project and identify the resources required. Each Local Development Project should focus on one or more of the aims listed above. The project has at its heart 'Even better Scouting for even more young people in Berkshire'. Each project will need local support and it will be essential to discuss any ideas with your District Team and/or sectional ACC.
The proposal should make clear what resources in terms of time and actions are required from the LDO, as well as the local and county-wide support teams. A briefing sheet is available on the Development Project.
To simply the process of considering the proposals we ask that you download the proforma (MS Word document), complete and return to development@berkshirescouts.org.uk.
The next County Development Forum meetings will take place on 15 January 2008. Proposals received 7 days prior to a meeting will be reviewed at that meeting.
